Gallery Showing at He & Me Hair Designs

I was beyond excited when the owner of He & Me Hair Designs asked me to be featured as the artist for the next 2 months in the salon!

I grew up going with my mom to get her hair done (and getting mine done too) at He & Me Hair Designs when it was located on on Washington Street in downtown Greenville, across from Barley's and Wild Wing Cafe.  Now, that building has been torn down, new buildings have been built, and He & Me has relocated off of Stone Avenue.  One of the owners has passed away and the other has retired, and now their daughter has started managing the salon.  New and exciting things are happening for the salon and its' owner!  I've always believed that family is one of the most important things that anyone can have in their life and I'm so happy that the legacy that they created is still evolving!

Starting July 2016, some of my paintings, art, and photography prints will be featured throughout the salon.  It is so exciting to see pieces that you've worked hard creating and have had a vision for hanging throughout a building!

The salon will be hosting an open house one night in the next couple of months.  So, I will announce that date as soon as we have decided on one.  In the mean time, check out some of the images below, or stop by and check them out for yourselves!  All of the items that are in the show are for sale and some are on Etsy.

Etsy Store - PainterDesignsArt

I just started a new adventure!

I opened an Etsy store!  Yay!  Well, I'm kind of excited about it AND a little nervous.  I'm thankful that there isn't much overhead for each item that is on the site, but anytime you are putting your work out there for others to see (and like or hate) you can't help but feel a little apprehensive.

As you may know, I lost my "dream job" as a Marketing Director a few months ago and now I've been trying to focus on my own career/business and doing what I love.  The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful husband and family who have supported me through this new adventure, but some days I can't help but get a little hesitant about the change.

As the new Etsy shop evolves, you will find a mixture of all of the things that I enjoy creating: jewelry, photography prints, paintings, and graphic design.  In the mean time, while I'm stocking up the shop, if you like something, support me!  Once things start selling on the shop, it will help me understand more about what you guys are interested in.

Here are a few of the pieces that are currently available:

If you are interested in anything that is currently available, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Our Adventures at Hunting Island

Growing up,  my family went to Hunting Island every year for the week of Thanksgiving.  My grandparents were in a camping club and my family, along with about 30 other families, would camp, enjoy the beach, and even have a legit Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving Day.

Hunting Island has always had a very special place in my heart.  Some of the best times and memories that I have, were made there with my family.  Many of the camping club members that were like family to us, have now passed away, but I still remember all of the times that I had with each one of them.

I knew that I wanted my husband to experience Beaufort and Hunting Island and to see all of the things that I've always talked about.   So, I was extremely excited for our quick trip down there in May.  I took my camera on our little weekend get away to capture some of the sights during our trip.  Enjoy! :)
